About the Role:

Join Harmony Hospice Care as a Volunteer and make a meaningful impact in the lives of patients and their families. This is an exciting opportunity to provide compassionate support in a nurturing environment while gaining valuable experience in the healthcare field.

Responsibilities:

Provide companionship and emotional support to patients and their families.

Assist with daily activities, including reading, playing games, or simply listening.

Help organize and participate in social and recreational activities.

Offer respite care to family members, allowing them time to recharge.

Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure patient comfort.

Maintain confidentiality and respect the dignity of all patients.

Attend training sessions and meetings as required.

Document volunteer activities and patient interactions accurately.

Requirements:

Must be compassionate and empathetic towards patients and families.

Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.

Previous volunteer experience in healthcare or hospice preferred.

Willingness to undergo a background check/drug testing and training.

Flexible availability, including evenings and weekends.

Must be at least 18 years old.

Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.

Passion for helping others and making a difference in the community.
