As a Cashier at MacKay Ace Hardware & Rental, you will be the face of our store, managing transactions, providing excellent customer service, and ensuring a smooth shopping experience for all customers. Main responsibilities of a cashier: Managing transactions, making sure pricing is accurate Accepting payments and providing receipts Responsibilities: Greeting customers when entering and leaving the premises Managing transactions using a cash register Balancing the cash register Scanning goods and ensuring pricing and quantities are accurate Accepting payments in cash, credit, or check Providing change and receipts Issuing coupons, vouchers, stamps, and gift cards Processing returns, refunds, and resolving customer complaints Bagging and wrapping purchased goods for safe transport Upselling and cross-selling when appropriate Answering and forwarding phone calls Job Requirements: 2-3 Weekday shifts: Monday (8AM-12PM), Thursday (8AM-3PM), Friday (8AM-3PM). You’ll be on your feet for most of your shift (6 to 8 hours).
