Generator Service Technician

Job Details Location: Detroit, MI (48202). Position Type: Full Time. Salary Range: $81,880.00 - $101,900.00. Role Overview We seek qualified Generator Service Technicians to maintain, troubleshoot, diagnose, repair, and test generators ranging from 5kW to 4000kW while providing best‑in‑class service to customers. Interact with customers. Correctly fill out paperwork. Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics. Requirements Mechanical and electrical aptitude with experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly diesel generators. Technical schooling: automotive or transportation fields, commercial/residential electric, or similar military experience preferred. Willingness to learn and use new technologies. Availability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, on‑call pager rotations, and occasional overnight travel. Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes under OSHA regulations. Certified Journeyman electrician a plus but not required.
