Compensation: $23.00–$27.00 per hour (based on experience)

We're currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our Accounting team for a temporary assignment expected to last approximately 2–4 months .

Compensation

$23.00–$27.00 per hour (based on experience)

What You'll Do

As the Accounts Payable Specialist, you'll support the day-to-day accounts payable function while ensuring invoices are processed accurately and vendors are paid on time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing the full-cycle accounts payable process from invoice receipt through payment
• Reviewing, coding, and entering vendor invoices accurately and efficiently
• Matching invoices with purchase orders and receiving documentation
• Researching and resolving invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues
• Processing check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers
• Reconciling vendor statements and maintaining positive vendor relationships
• Maintaining vendor files, including W-9s and payment information
• Assisting with month-end closing activities and financial reporting
• Supporting annual audits by providing requested documentation
• Monitoring aging reports to ensure timely vendor payments
• Identifying opportunities to improve accounts payable processes and efficiency
• Collaborating with operations teams to resolve invoice and purchasing discrepancies
• Maintaining the confidentiality of financial information

What We're Looking For

• Minimum of 3 years of accounts payable experience required
• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent work experience preferred
• Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and accounting principles
• Experience with ERP or accounting software (Karmak experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
