Quality Control InternWe are seeking a Quality Control Intern to join our team for a hands-on internship experience. This program is designed to provide students with practical exposure to both field construction operations and materials testing/quality control, helping them build a strong foundation for a future career in the construction industry. Interns will gain invaluable real-world experience, work on challenging projects, and collaborate with seasoned professionals across project management, engineering, and lab operations.Key ResponsibilitiesField & Project SupportCollaborate with project teams to assist in the planning, execution, and management of construction projectsSpend time on construction sites to observe and participate in construction activities, gaining practical knowledgeAssist in project documentation, including reports, plans, budgets, and schedulesWork closely with project managers, engineers, and field staff to ensure project goals are metParticipate in troubleshooting and finding solutions to construction-related challengesQuality Control & Lab SupportAssist with a variety of lab tests on construction materials, including concrete and soilHelp analyze and interpret test results to support accurate, compliant testingSupport maintenance of lab equipment and supplies in accordance with best practices and standardsHelp identify and report quality control issues or concernsCommunicate lab and field-related information to project stakeholders as neededGeneralAcquire a deeper understanding of construction methods, materials, equipment, and safety proceduresOther duties as assignedQualificationsEnrolled in a relevant degree program or technical school (Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Chemistry, Geology, or related field)Strong academic performance and a passion for the construction industryExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsStrong attention to detail and accuracyAbility to work in a team and adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic construction environmentEagerness to learn and a proactive attitudeBasic understanding of construction principles, lab testing processes, or quality control practices is a plus but not mandatoryCommitment to promoting diversity, equity, and inclusion in the workplaceMust be legally eligible to work in the United StatesDurationTypically May–AugustCompensationCompetitive compensation packagePotential for academic credit, depending on your institution's policiesOpportunity for future employment within the company based on performanceEqual Opportunity Employer/Protected Veterans/Individuals with Disabilities
