Enjoy comprehensive benefits and professional growth opportunities.Job DescriptionSenior Estimator OverviewThe Senior Estimator role focuses on delivering accurate cost estimates for diverse construction projects, ensuring project feasibility and profitability.Collaborate with project teams to analyze specifications and develop comprehensive cost breakdowns.Contribute to the success of a mid-sized general contractor with a diverse portfolio.Work on high-impact projects including office buildings, healthcare facilities, and sports arenas.Leverage your expertise to ensure competitive and accurate bidding processes.Engage in a collaborative environment with opportunities for professional growth.Contribute to the company's strong presence in the Detroit area.Enjoy comprehensive benefits including healthcare coverage and performance incentives.Senior Estimator Key Responsibilities & DutiesPrepare detailed cost estimates by analyzing project plans, specifications, and requirements.Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain accurate pricing and availability.Develop and maintain cost databases to ensure accurate and efficient estimating processes.Collaborate with project managers to align estimates with project goals and budgets.Evaluate and mitigate risks associated with project costs and schedules.Provide insights and recommendations for value engineering opportunities.Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all estimating activities.Participate in pre-construction meetings to provide cost-related expertise.Senior Estimator Job RequirementsBachelor of Science in Civil Engineering or related field required.Minimum of 7 years of experience in construction estimating; 10 years preferred.Proficiency in estimating software and tools, with strong analytical skills.Comprehensive understanding of construction methods, materials, and industry standards.Excellent communication and negotiation skills to interact with stakeholders.Ability to work on-site in a dynamic and collaborative environment.Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.Familiarity with Detroit-area construction markets and trends is advantageous.
