Sales Development Representative (SDR) – Senior Associate, Business Cards & Payments Location: Plano, TX – Hybrid Level: Senior Associate Type: Non Exempt – Hourly Work Schedule & Shift Requirements: Initial Training Period: new hires will work a standard schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST during training and onboarding. West Coast Coverage: upon completion of training, this role will participate in a team rotation to support the West Coast territory. During assigned rotation periods, work hours will be 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM CST. Within the Capital One Business Cards & Payments Team, our Sales Development Representative group helps businesses of all sizes manage expenses, earn rewards, and streamline financial operations. Through a consultative approach, we assist business owners in optimizing the rewards and benefits they receive from our Business Card products. What You’ll Do Prospect and cold‑call businesses to generate new sales opportunities for our card portfolio. Vet and qualify business leads for one of Capital One’s various business card solutions and set appointments for dedicated Relationship Managers to conduct a thorough needs analysis. Serve as a dedicated point of contact for prospective Business Card customers, assisting them in identifying and utilizing the right product to meet their current and future business needs. Basic Qualifications At least 2 years of experience in business development or outbound sales generating new leads through cold calling and prospecting. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree or military experience. 3+ years of acquisitions or outbound sales experience, with a focus on new business generation. 2+ years of experience working with small or medium‑sized business customers. 2+ years of experience in the financial industry. This role is also eligible to earn performance‑based incentive compensation, which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long‑term incentives (LTI). Incentives could be discretionary or non‑discretionary depending on the plan.
