We are seeking a driven Regional Sales Manager to expand our presence and strengthen distributor performance across the Northern California and Pacific Northwest territory.Position SummaryThe Regional Sales Manager is responsible for overseeing and optimizing the performance of distributor partners within the assigned region. This role will drive revenue growth, expand market penetration, and ensure effective execution of sales strategies across Makino’s machine tool portfolio.This position requires a strong combination of technical knowledge, distributor channel leadership, and strategic sales execution within manufacturing environments.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage distributor operations to maximize market coverage and sales performanceDevelop and execute regional sales plans aligned with company objectivesMonitor distributor effectiveness and implement improvement strategies, including training and performance coachingServe as the primary liaison between Makino and distributor partners to drive alignment on sales strategy and execution Drive new business development and increase market share across key manufacturing segmentsSupport distributors with customer visits, technical discussions, and solution-based sellingCoordinate with marketing, product management, and applications teams to execute targeted sales initiativesMaintain accurate sales forecasting, pipeline tracking, and regional reportingMonitor competitive activity and market trends within the territoryLead and support training efforts to enhance distributor product knowledge and sales effectivenessQualificationsStrong ability to communicate effectively with both technical and executive-level stakeholdersDemonstrated success in distributor or channel-based sales environmentsExcellent presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsStrong understanding of machining processes and manufacturing environmentsSelf-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable working in a remote, field-based roleEducation & ExperienceBachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or related field — or equivalent combination of education and experience 8–10 years of metal cutting experience with a focus on machining centers within a manufacturing environmentExperience working with distributors or indirect sales channels strongly preferredProven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targetsCompensation & BenefitsThe expected base salary for this role is approximately $160,000–$210,000, depending on geographic location, experience, and market conditions, with performance-based commission.Company vehicle providedComprehensive benefits package including:
