Area Sales Manager - CNC MANUFACTURING Territory-Based | Remote in the Following Regions: (Please apply if you live in or around the only the cities listed below)Seattle, WA + Grand Rapids, MI + San Francisco Bay Area + Houston, TX + Philadelphia, PA + Queens, New York + Salt Lake City Region + Dallas, TX + Kansas City + Columbia, SC Salary: $75,000/Year + Commission Structure (Candidate can make up to $200,000/Year) Draw on Comission is available for the first and second year of Employment. About the RoleWe are looking for a driven, customer-focused Area Sales Manager to own and grow sales within an assigned territory. This role is ideal for a consultative sales professional who enjoys working directly with customers in manufacturing environments and selling technically complex, high-value solutions.You will represent a portfolio of advanced machine tool solutions, partnering closely with customers to understand their operational challenges and deliver innovative, value-driven outcomes. The role plays a key part in both new business development and long-term customer retention, working cross-functionally with Applications Engineering, Service, and Leadership teams.What You Will DoBuild, manage, and expand strong customer relationships across your territoryDrive sales of capital equipment through technical, consultative sellingPartner with Applications Engineers to assess customer requirements and recommend solutionsDevelop, present, and respond to customized proposalsRecommend improved machinery, materials, or solutions to enhance customer operationsConduct proactive, high-frequency customer visits (approximately 25 per week)Visit customer facilities to support complex engineering or service-related issuesIdentify and execute strategic opportunities through disciplined territory planningSubmit weekly territory plans, MIS reporting, and expense reportsSupport equipment demonstrations alongside engineering teamsTravel internationally for semi-annual visits to OEM factories (Japan, Germany, Italy, China)Contribute to annual sales planning and achieve or exceed revenue targetsPerform additional responsibilities as needed to support the businessWhat We Are Looking ForRequired QualificationsBachelors degree from an accredited university, orAssociates degree with 5+ years of B2B sales experience3+ years of experience in B2B sales or business developmentStrong consultative selling, negotiation, and relationship-building skillsAbility to thrive in a high-travel, customer-facing rolePreferred QualificationsRecent experience in machine tools, CNC, or manufacturing environmentsBackground in technical sales supporting complex equipment or engineered solutionsCompensation and RewardsBase Salary: $75,000 + Commission and Bonus Potential Commission: Uncapped commission tied to individual and territory performanceTotal Compensation: Competitive earnings potential aligned with resultsWork EnvironmentRemote, territory-based roleFrequent time spent in customer and manufacturing facilitiesExposure to industrial environments, machinery, and heavy equipmentExtensive domestic and international travel requiredIf you are a Sales Manager looking for a new role and have experience in the Manufacturing space please email your resume to: View email address on apply.placed-app.com
