POSITION SUMMARY The Bakery Clerk is responsible for mixing and measuring ingredients into dough in preparation for baking, monitoring shrink within the department, ensuring all orders are completed in accordance with the production schedule; machinery is in good operating order. Responsible for providing quality customer service, practicing safe food handling procedures, assisting with inventory, stocking, product rotation and maintenance. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The essential duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, the following: Mixing and measuring ingredients into dough for baking. Monitoring shrink and ensuring compliance with production schedules. Maintaining machinery in good operating condition. Providing quality customer service. Practicing safe food handling procedures. Assisting with inventory, stocking, product rotation, and maintenance. SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent. Basic kitchen skills, familiar with food preparation in a bakery department. Bilingual in English and Spanish. PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK CONDITIONS Walking continuously throughout shift, while moving about the store and handling merchandise. Standing continuously throughout shift. Lifting up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs.
