Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist

Carilion Clinic is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure Cardiologist to join their nationally recognized regional cardiac network in Roanoke, VA. This role involves providing advanced heart failure services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, managing patients with temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices. The successful candidate will contribute to the ongoing development of the Heart Failure Program at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, a 703-bed Level 1 Trauma/Academic/Tertiary Care Center.Practice InfoPart of Carilion Clinic's nationally recognized regional cardiac network.Established and growing Cardiology section supported by a large primary care and specialty referral base.Heart Failure Clinic will relocate to the Crystal Spring Tower in July 2025, including additional exam rooms and an outpatient infusion suite.The new space will also include physician and APP offices and a conference room for the Heart Failure team.ResponsibilitiesProvide advanced heart failure services in the inpatient and outpatient settings.Manage patients with temporary and durable mechanical circulatory support devices.Contribute to the ongoing development of the Heart Failure Program with a focus on improving access and expanding services for complex patient populations.Participate in formal and bedside teaching of Cardiology Fellows, Internal Medicine Residents, and other learners.Participate in Research as a core part of the Academic Mission.CompensationMin Starting Salary: $520,000.Max Starting Salary: $748,056.Eligible to participate in the Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus compensation programs to improve the minimum salary.Historical averages of Tier 1 and Tier 2 bonus earnings are included in the maximum salary.BenefitsComprehensive benefits and pension offerings.Relocation Paid: Yes.Vacation: Yes.CME: Yes.Health/Vision with Wellness Incentives and Pharmacy.Dental.Life Insurance.Disability.Retirement Savings Plans - 403(b) and Deferred Compensation.Defined benefit pension plan.PAID malpractice and tail.RequirementsBoard Certification in Cardiology.Board Certification or Board Eligibility in Advanced Heart Failure and Cardiac Transplantation.
