Full-Time Open Rank Teaching Professor Position Electrical & Computer Engineering / Electrical Engineering Technology – Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering, Rowan University. The Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering invites applications for a non-tenure-track, full-time, open-rank Teaching Professor position for our new B.S. in Electrical Engineering Technology (EET) program, with an appointment starting in Fall 2026. Responsibilities Develop, teach, and assess innovative, project-based, hands-on courses and labs in the ECE/EET curriculum. Develop, expand, and help manage lab spaces for delivering a modern ECE/EET curriculum. Assist students and other faculty with practical applications of programmable logical controllers, analog and digital circuits & electronics, instrumentation & measurement, embedded systems & IoT, PCB design, control systems, automation, industrial networks and communications, and other relevant ECE/EET areas. Provide curricular and career advice to students as appropriate. Assist students with prototyping, fabrication, and verification of their designs. Assist the department, college, and university with appropriate service responsibilities. Ideal Candidate Profile Ideal candidates are those who have experience in PCB design, assembly, fabrication, and/or testing, and can develop and teach project-based lab courses in at least two of the following priority areas of greatest need: Programmable logical controllers; instrumentation & measurement. Control systems, automation, and industrial networks. Power electronics, power and energy systems. The Department values experiential and project-based learning and provides state-of-the-art equipment and computational resources. Candidates should share this dedication, possess the skills and passion to deliver innovative design-based projects, and be strong communicators capable of teaching in a hands-on setting. Minimum Requirements Teaching Professors are expected to hold a terminal degree or its professional equivalent. The position is a 10-month, full-time, non-tenure-track appointment. Successful candidates will teach 24 credits over two semesters, with the option to overload and teach summer classes for additional compensation. Salary In compliance with New Jersey's Pay Transparency Act, the annual base salary range for this position is: Assistant Teaching Professor: 21000–24000. Associate Teaching Professor: 25000–27000. Full Teaching Professor: 28000–30000. Placement within the range is determined by qualifications, professional experience, internal equity, and other factors. Appropriate start-up packages may be available. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States; the university will not sponsor a work visa for this position.
