Non-Tenure Track Assistant Teaching Professor Position Department of Mathematics College of Science & Mathematics Rowan University Job no: 501324 Work type: Regular Full-Time Location: Glassboro, New Jersey Categories: Faculty - College of Science and Mathematics The Department of Mathematics at Rowan University invites applications for a full‑time, non‑tenure‑track Assistant Teaching Professor position, with an appointment beginning September 1, 2026. The department seeks candidates deeply committed to excellence in teaching at both undergraduate and graduate levels. The successful candidate will teach a range of undergraduate and graduate mathematics courses. In addition to teaching, candidates are expected to make meaningful and substantive service contributions to the department and to undergraduate and graduate programs. Teaching Professors are also expected to engage in ongoing professional development to remain current in their disciplinary expertise and evidence‑based instructional practices. Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in Mathematics or a closely related discipline with a conferral date no later than July 1, 2026. The position is 10‑month, full‑time, non‑tenure‑track appointment. Successful candidates will teach 24 credits over two semesters, with an option to teach overload and summer classes for additional compensation. Positions are renewable based on performance reviews and programmatic needs.
