Job Description
Put your expertise and compassion to work supporting students’ well-being in an educational setting near Oxford, CT. This contract opportunity seeks a dedicated individual certified as a School Psychologist (070) who is ready to make a meaningful difference each day.
Key Qualifications:
Holds valid certification as a School Psychologist (070)
Experienced in addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs of students
Strong assessment, observation, and counseling skills
Familiar with school-based protocols, including PPT and 504 meetings
Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess the clinical needs of students exhibiting social, emotional, or behavioral concerns through direct interaction and observation
Complete comprehensive evaluations and necessary documentation for student cases
Provide therapeutic counseling to students in both individual and group formats to help them develop strategies for success
Facilitate and coordinate all Planning and Placement Team (PPT) meetings, ensuring plans are student-centered and inclusive
Lead and support 504 meetings to help design appropriate accommodations and supports for students
Collaborate closely with teachers, staff, and families to create an environment conducive to academic and personal growth
