Radiation Therapist

Purpose: This team member is responsible for the accurate delivery of a planned course of Radiation Therapy and demonstrates the necessary level of clinical expertise in executing all aspects of care to include, but not limited to: Simulation, Device Fabrication, patient assessment, patient education and treatment. Purpose: This team member is responsible for the accurate delivery of a planned course of Radiation Therapy and demonstrates the necessary level of clinical expertise in executing all aspects of care to include, but not limited to: Simulation, Device Fabrication, patient assessment, patient education and treatment. Responsibilities: Accurately delivers Radiation Therapy treatments according to Radiation Oncologist`s prescription. Educates patient regarding Simulation, Boost, Tattooing and Treatment prior to performing procedures. Performs Daily Stop/Time-Out and documents. Maintains equipment by following QA process and immediately informs Department Director/Designee and physicist on any issues. Manages elements in Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to include, but not limited to: Treatment Chart, Charge Capture and Quality Checklists. High school graduate or GED. Certified by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or board eligible. Licensed by the State of Ohio.
