Buyer/Planner

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Buyer/Planner to join our Supply Chain team. The Buyer/Planner will be responsible for planning inventory levels, purchasing materials, and ensuring the timely availability of products to support production and customer demand. salary: $60,000 - $75,000 per year

Responsibilities

• Plan and purchase raw materials, components, and supplies to support production schedules.
• Monitor inventory levels and maintain optimal stock to meet customer demand while minimizing excess inventory.
• Create and manage purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery from suppliers.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Sales, and Warehouse teams to align purchasing with business needs.
• Analyze demand forecasts and adjust procurement plans accordingly.
• Track supplier performance, including quality, cost, and delivery metrics.
• Resolve supply chain issues, shortages, and delivery delays.
• Negotiate pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers when appropriate.
• Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory records within the ERP/MRP system.
• Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
