DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides essential clerical support to the Disaster Recovery Support Services Office while serving as the main administrative resource for the National Flood Insurance Program. It plays an important role in helping staff coordinate activities, manage information, and support community engagement efforts. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:

DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position provides essential clerical support to the Disaster Recovery Support Services Office while serving as the main administrative resource for the National Flood Insurance Program. It plays an important role in helping staff coordinate activities, manage information, and support community engagement efforts. As a Clerical Assistant 2, you will perform the following duties:
- Document Preparation: Prepare correspondence, reports, spreadsheets, and various materials for staff
- Record Maintenance: Maintain filing systems, logs, databases, and tracking tools for program activities
- Outreach Support: Coordinate logistics for NFIP outreach, training, workshops, audits, and community engagement efforts
- Inquiry Coordination: Track, route, and respond to community questions and ensure timely follow-up
- Administrative Assistance: Support Recovery leadership with scheduling, travel documents, meetings, and reports
- Reception Duties: Perform assigned tasks at the building reception desk and assist visitors and callers
Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- Full time employment, 37.5 hours per week.
- Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.
- In the event of an emergency/disaster situation or training exercise, this position may be required to travel, work up to 12-hour shifts, and work outside of the normal work hours, including weekends and overnights.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.
- Salary: Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $36,831 (before taxes).

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- Six months as a Clerical Assistant 1 (Commonwealth job title or equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration); or
- Graduation from high school; o r
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
