Applewood Center Receptionist Position

Applewood Center is now hiring a full-time receptionist! Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Rate: $20.00/hour. Weekend rotation: Every 10–11 weeks (Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 10:00 AM). Flexibility required to meet facility needs (e.g., staying until 6:00 PM or arriving at 8:00 AM if necessary). Responsibilities include answering phones and greeting customers, inventorying resident belongings, scheduling transportation for resident appointments, sorting, delivering, and filing mail and packages, and handling resident/facility cash and banking. Full-time is eligible for medical benefits or modified compensation, which is an additional 25% on the base rate of pay.

Responsibilities: Bring your administrative skills and winning personality to our nursing center. As a receptionist, you directly impact the nursing center reputation being the first person that a patient/resident, family member, candidate, or client interacts with at the nursing center.

• Answer all incoming calls professionally and courteously and redirect them appropriately.
• Warmly welcome, greet, and direct patients, visitors, and guests.
• Coordinate outgoing and incoming mail.
• Maintain current lists of patients/residents by name/room number and employees by names/phone extension.
• Order supplies and perform other clerical duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High school degree or equivalent is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language to ensure the safety and well-being of our patients and visitors and respond to their medical and physical needs.
• Excellent communication skills are required.
• Must be proficient with Google; Docs, Sheets, Slides.
