Accounting ManagerClassification: Salaried/ExemptDescriptionThe role of the Accounting Manager is to supervise, track, and evaluate the day-to-day activities of the staff and senior accountants. The Accounting Manager is responsible for leading the accounting team serving each assigned client, ensuring the accuracy and quality of work being performed, and overseeing financial reporting. All of our employees are expected to embrace and implement the values and vision of the Company as they serve clients. This is a fully remote position in Ohio only. Qualifications and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:ResponsibilitiesMonitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statementsEstablish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principlesProvide recommendationsImprove systems and procedures, and initiate corrective actionsAssign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracyMeet financial accounting objectivesEstablish and maintain fiscal files and records to document transactionsManage and oversee the daily operations of the client accounting team, including:* Month and year-end process*Accounts payable/receivable*Cash receipts *General ledger* Payroll *Budgeting*Cash forecasting*Revenue and expenditure variance analysis *Capital asset reconciliation*Bill payments * Fixed asset activity* Debt activity * Sales tax complianceDevelop, train, and review the work being performed by staff and senior accountantsLead client meetings and present information related to the accounting and finance functionQualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting or Finance preferredCPA License RequiredSkills8-12 years experience in an accounting roleProven working experience as an Accounting Manager, Accounting Supervisor or Finance Manager2-3 years experience leading a team (minimum)Worked in public accounting, tax, and payroll Ability to direct and superviseAdvanced computer skills on MS Office, accounting software, and databasesAbility to manipulate large amounts of dataProven knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting principles, practices, standards, laws, and regulationsHigh attention to detail and accuracyExperience with either QuickBooks or Xero is requiredExperience with Studio Designer a plusDemonstrates ability to communicate professionally and with proper etiquetteTakes ownership of responsibilitiesAbility to work independently and manage multiple projects and deadlinesAccounting Frontier is an equal opportunity employer.
