Accounting Manager

Accounting Manager – PE-Backed, High-Growth Platform (Boston | Hybrid) We’re partnering with a private equity–backed operating platform that’s scaling rapidly through acquisitions and building a centralized accounting function to support continued growth. This role is ideal for someone who started their career in public accounting (Big 4 preferred) and has since moved into the private sector, gaining hands‑on experience in fast‑paced, evolving environments. What you’ll do: Own and run the month‑end close process across multiple operating entities Support and clean up accounting for newly acquired businesses (cash → accrual, process standardization, integrations) Review journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting Partner closely with the Controller and work directly with the CFO Assist with inventory, cost of sales, and margin analysis Help build scalable processes as the company continues to grow through acquisitions What we’re looking for: Background in public accounting (Big 4 strongly preferred) Experience in a private, PE‑backed, or acquisitive environment Strong month‑end close ownership and technical accounting foundation Exposure to inventory and/or operational accounting environments Leadership mindset — currently managing or ready to step into people/process leadership Comfortable in fast‑moving, “build as you go” settings The opportunity: High‑visibility role with direct access to senior leadership Meaningful acquisition exposure and career growth runway Competitive base salary, bonus eligibility, and strong benefits This is not a maintenance role — it’s an opportunity to help build, scale, and lead within a growing platform.
