Accounting Manager

Vaco

Vaco by Highspring has partnered with a large regional healthcare organization and they are looking to hire an Accounting Manager to their team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the accounting and financial reporting for joint ventures, physician practices, and affiliated entities
  • Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for assigned entities
  • Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements in accordance with GAAP
  • Analyze partnership agreements and ensure accounting treatment aligns with contractual terms
  • Coordinate distributions, equity accounting, ownership allocations, and capital activity for joint ventures
  • Partner with operational leadership and finance teams to support budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis
  • Assist with audits, tax support requests, and regulatory reporting requirements
  • Ensure strong internal controls and compliance with organizational accounting policies
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation within accounting workflows
  • Mentor and support staff accountants or senior accountants as applicable
  • Support special projects, acquisitions, integrations, and system implementations as needed
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • CPA or CPA-track preferred
  • 5 years of progressive accounting experience, preferably within healthcare or a large multi-entity organization
  • Prior experience with joint venture accounting, partnership accounting, or physician practice accounting required
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting standards
  • Experience working with complex entity structures and intercompany transactions
  • Proficiency with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco/Highspring depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individual's skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and can participate in medical, dental, and vision benefits as well as the company's 401(k) retirement plan.
