Pre-Authorization CoordinatorUniversity Radiology Group is seeking a Full-time Pre-Authorization Coordinator for our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.Monday - Friday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PMResponsibilities include:Working with referring physicians to ensure authorizations for a patient’s procedure is obtained before their appointmentInforming patient of any instructions for the procedure including, but not limited to: documentation required on the day of the exam, discussing financial responsibility, collecting payment, setting up payment planCommunicating all challenges, potential impact the challenge may have on the department and possible solutions of the problems to the management teamUtilizing registration system notes to document important information related to verification, pre-cert, and upfront collectionFollowing the University Radiology Guidelines related to the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), designed to prevent or detect unauthorized disclosure of Protected Health Information (PHI)Qualifications include:Working in high call volume environmentUnderstanding of the Revenue Cycle as a whole and the impact Pre-registration has within the CycleKnowledge of CPT/ICD9/ICD10 codes and insurance contracts/reimbursement requiredStrong communications and organizational skillsTeam player who can contribute to providing a professional and positive work environmentEffective at meetings - providing feedback, ideas and suggestions to improve daily work flows1+ years of insurance verification requiredUniversity Radiology offers a comprehensive benefits program including medical, dental and life insurance, 401k/pension, and profit-sharing plans, generous paid time off policy and more.Pay Range: From $20/hrJoin our growing team!University Radiology is an Equal Opportunity Employer, all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
