About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Telemetry Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year in Telemetry License: Current RN License in the state Certifications: BLS from AHA; NIHSS (must obtain prior to start); 4 trauma credits (must complete within the first two weeks) Must-Have: Experience and competence in drug titration; inpatient experience Description: Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission and values. Performs direct patient care activities for all age groups to include assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Monitors and coordinates patient care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient care and comfort. Functions within the scope of nursing preparation and established guidelines of nursing practice. Meets unit-specific physical demands, including significant bending, stooping, and lifting. May be required to work differing schedules and shifts according to patient care requirements. High-risk exposure to blood and body fluids is present. Utilizes the nursing process to provide patient care for patients post-trauma, surgical interventions, and medical comorbidities. Maintains professional accountability for the provision of patient care. Evaluates the overall effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers. Coordinates patient care in conjunction with other departments. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality of patient information.
