F-16 Crew Chief / Aircraft Maintenance Technician

Job Overview Duties: F-16 Aircraft Maintenance Specialist (Crew Chief) responsible for daily flight and maintenance requirements of F-16 aircraft. Provide launch, recovery, preflight and postflight inspections, ground handling, minor maintenance, engine runs, servicing, routine troubleshooting, installation, repair, and maintenance of all electro‑mechanical systems and components. Perform major maintenance, landing gear, flight control surfaces, periodic inspections, and provide technical guidance and OJT to customer technicians. May perform other duties at manager’s discretion. Basic Qualifications High school graduate or equivalent. USAF skill level 5 or 7 (or equivalent) in this career field. At least 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience. Will be willing and able to participate in all set‑up activities, assist with receiving and storing supplies, and support equipment. Desired Skills Fighter aircraft maintenance specialist. Aircraft mechanic / craftsman A&P licensed. Experience setting up maintenance work areas. Strong understanding of the maintenance process. Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Access). Progressive, documented experience in the fighter aircraft maintenance environment and ability to provide documented qualifications in related maintenance fields. Security Clearance This position requires a government security clearance; the applicant must be a U.S. citizen. Clearance level: Secret.
