Radiologic Technologist - Cath Lab - Ambulatory

Job Description Job Description Radiologic Technologist Cardiac & Vascular Consultants of Northern Michigan brings innovative, world-class cardiac and vascular care to Traverse City and the surrounding area. We are looking for a Radiologic Technologist to join our team. This will be a full-time job working dayshift hours, variable days Monday to Friday either 10 hour shifts or 12 hour shifts. Position Summary Our team is passionate about providing the best care possible. Our practice has a specialty in treating Peripheral Artery Disease and its advanced form of Critical Limb Ischemia. Left untreated, these diseases can have serious effects, including amputation. We're dedicated to advancing the treatment possibilities for those suffering with PAD and CLI so they can regain their lives back. Working Conditions: * Hourly, as needed * Moderate physical effort required, frequent lifting of patients, medical equipment and supplies * Moderate computer and phone usage * Frequent walking throughout clinic locations * Frequent standing for long periods of time * Frequent talking * Frequent need to wear lead apron/radiation protection equipment * Frequent need to observe universal precautions/sterile operating room procedures * Occasional stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling * Occasionally exposed to loud noise Qualifications: * American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification: Preferred * Minimum of Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology: Preferred * Current Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR): Within 90 days of hire * Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS): preferred * Minimum one-year experience as a Radiologic Technologist: Preferred * Cardiovascular and/or peripheral vascular disease experience: Preferred * Cardiac catheterization lab experience: Preferred * In good physical and mental health * Detail oriented, thorough and exact Specific Duties: * Assist physicians with various endovascular procedures * Assists in giving quality patient care to patients and in other areas as needed * Observes universal precautions and utilizes sterile techniques * Maintain an orderly, efficient, and timely flow of patients * Observes the ALARA safety principle, ensuring minimal radiation doses are used during procedures * Prepares patients for endovascular procedures * Helps maintain and verifies that radiation generating (X-Ray) equipment is in working order * Maintain a clean and orderly procedure rooms, common areas and workspace * Check procedure rooms daily and restock with supplies as needed * Provide continuity of care, professional communication with all team members in a fast-paced work environment * Assess patient/family level of understanding to enhance effective communication and education * Provide support to research trial assessment and procedures * Other duties as assigned by leadership and supervisory staff
