Assistant Nurse Manager, Operating Room (OR)

Employment Type: Regular, Full-Time Work Setting: Onsite Salary: $222,000–$225,000 per year Travel: 5% Job Description We are hiring an Assistant Nurse Manager – OR to support daily operating room operations, lead nursing teams, and promote safe, high-quality patient care in an inpatient acute-care hospital. Key Responsibilities Oversee daily OR operations, staffing, and resource allocation. Support clinical quality, patient safety, and risk management. Maintain survey readiness and Joint Commission compliance. Assist with emergency preparedness and staff training. Monitor staffing utilization, productivity, and budget performance. Coach nursing staff and support operational improvements. Requirements Active California RN license and BLS certification required at hire. Minimum 5 years of OR RN experience. At least 1 year of leadership experience, such as Charge Nurse, Lead, Preceptor, or Supervisor. Inpatient acute-care Main OR and IntraOp experience required . BSN and/or CNOR strongly preferred. Large, unionized hospital experience highly desirable. Ambulatory OR experience is welcome. Annual salary increases and bonus eligibility.
