About the Position

We are seeking a  Board Certified/Eligible Hematologist/Oncologist for a full-time locum tenens assignment . This role provides a mix of clinic, hospital rounding, and call coverage in a rural adult patient setting. The practice includes both solid tumor oncology and benign/malignant hematology patients.

Schedule & Coverage:

• 5 days/week, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekend coverage: 2 weekends per month (24-hour shift)
• Night call: ~10 days per month, 1:2 call rotation
• Patients/day: ~15 adults (60% hematology / 40% oncology)

Work Details:

• Infusion center on-site with 14 chairs and 2 bedrooms, staffed by oncology-certified nurses
• Support staff: 3 APPs, 1.3 Oncologists/Hematologists, on-site pharmacist
• Tumor board participation required (disease-specific and general)
• EMR: EPIC
• Practice setting: Clinic with hospital rounding support

✅ Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Hematology/Oncology
• PA medical license required; IMLC accepted
• DEA registration required
• Minimum experience: 1 year
• Credentialing timeframe: 90 days (temporary coverage available with clean file)
