Radiation Therapist

This is a 13-week contract position.

Day Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, 5 days a week.

We are seeking a qualified Radiation Therapist to join our Oncology Department. The ideal candidate will have experience in radiation therapy, including familiarity with Varian TrueBeam and IX systems and Aria software.

Responsibilities:

• Administer radiation treatments to patients under the supervision of a Radiation Oncologist.
• Collaborate with the oncology team to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Utilize Varian TrueBeam, IX, and Aria software for treatment delivery and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain equipment.
• Educate patients about the radiation therapy process and their treatment plans.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• New York State Radiation Therapist license required.
• One year of radiation therapy experience preferred.
• Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
• Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current BCLS certification.
• Knowledge of general anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
