Registration & Scheduler

Primary City/State: MOB - 15000 N 83rd Ave Category: Patient Services Shift: Day Department: Cancer Care-Registration Mon-Fri 0830-1700 Responsibilities Acts as first point of contact for all customers, organizes and facilitates clerical administrative duties of the department, and performs a variety of cross‑functional clerical and patient support duties. Contact, greet, and communicate with customers; answer phone calls, retrieve and respond to voicemails; direct information to appropriate individuals; orient patients with directions and instructions. Perform imaging support duties: receive and transfer incoming calls; generate reports and retrieve images from the PACS system; assist in maintaining efficient patient workflow; maintain records and ensure dissemination to designated parties; ensure patients are appropriately prepared; assist with patient transport and support supervisors, radiologists, and technologists as directed. Schedule procedures, including initial and follow‑up appointments; track no‑shows; document in the appropriate system; communicate with physicians as applicable and provide schedules to staff as needed. Handle registration duties: provide patients with initial registration information; create electronic records; gather signatures; coordinate medical authorizations, referrals, and financial responsibilities; complete daily data entry and scanning of patient registration information. Obtain authorization from insurance companies; collect co‑pays and payments required for procedures; submit daily deposits and/or billing as applicable. In accordance with HIPAA, complete patient chart processes and maintain accurate chart information; communicate with insurance carriers and hospital billing for authorization updates; ensure chart information is forwarded to medical records as appropriate. View email daily and provide supervisor with appropriate information and memorandums. Maintain inventory of office supplies and forms, placing orders as required. Perform other duties as assigned. Education High School Diploma or GED Required Experience 1 year in a healthcare‑related field with knowledge of medical terminology, or experience in scheduling and/or registration in a healthcare setting Preferred 2 years in healthcare‑related experience, including scheduling and registration experience or Patient Access, Outpatient Medical Imaging, Medical scheduling, or closely related experience Preferred License and Certifications Fingerprint Clearance Card (FPC) – Must have a current Fingerprint Clearance card or apply and be eligible for a Fingerprint Clearance Card within seven (7) working days after employment Required Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) – Certification Preferred #J-18808-Ljbffr
