Public Finance Paralegal

Job Summary

A well-established legal team in Orlando, FL is seeking a Public Finance Paralegal for a full-time, direct hire opportunity. This role is ideal for a detail-oriented paralegal with law firm experience in public finance, real estate, lending, government representation, affordable housing, bond transactions, loan closings, and due diligence.

The Public Finance Paralegal will support attorneys and clients through complex transactional matters involving governmental and private clients. Key Responsibilities

- Draft, review, proofread, and organize legal documents for loans, bond transactions, acquisitions, closings, and due diligence matters.
- Assist attorneys with public finance, real estate, lending, government representation, and affordable housing transactions.
- Prepare and support loan closings, including document coordination, file management, and closing checklist tracking.
- Conduct title review, public records searches, document review, and legal research using appropriate resources.
- Maintain legal files, organize transaction documents, and ensure accuracy, completeness, and deadline compliance.
- Communicate professionally with clients, attorneys, and internal team members throughout the transaction process.

Compensation and Benefits

- Salary: $45,000 to $70,000 per year.
- Job type: Full-time, direct hire.
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, in office.

Required Qualifications and Skills

- Support public finance, loan, bond, acquisition, closing, and due diligence transactions.
- Draft, review, proofread, and manage legal documents with a high level of accuracy.
- Conduct title review, public records searches, and document analysis during the loan process.
- Coordinate legal files, closing materials, deadlines, and billable time in a high-volume law firm environment.

- Minimum of 2 to 5 years of law firm paralegal experience required.
- Experience in public finance, real estate, lending, government representation, and/or affordable housing.
- Strong knowledge of legal terminology, procedures, regulations, and transactional legal documentation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and O365.
- Excellent typing, word processing, proofreading, and written communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with clients and internal legal teams.
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently with limited supervision.
- Ability to prioritize high-volume work and accurately track billable time.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Centerbase Cloud-Based Law Firm Management & Accounting software.
- Prior experience supporting governmental clients, bond transactions, affordable housing matters, or complex loan closings.
- Strong background in title review, closing coordination, and public records research.
