In-House SEO & Web Optimization Specialist (NY Based) Location: Bohemia, NY (On-site, Full-Time) Company: Gorilla Brands (In-House Agency) Pay: $60,000 - 85,000, depending on experience Type: Full-Time Overview: Gorilla Brands is our in-house marketing agency that handles branding, SEO, and advertising across the Rapid Home Services Group portfolio and additional external clients. We focus on performance marketing for contractors and home service brands to dominate local markets with ROI-focused campaigns. Who We're Looking For: An experienced, technical SEO expert who can manage on-page and off-page optimization, technical audits, and hands-on website edits. You will work directly from our Bohemia office alongside our creative, media, and marketing teams. You should be able to execute changes directly (not hand off to a dev team) and manage multiple client websites (primarily contractors/home service brands). Responsibilities include maintaining site health, driving keyword growth, local rankings, traffic quality, and conversions. Key Responsibilities Audit and optimize websites for technical SEO (site speed, mobile, crawlability, schema, etc.). Perform and implement on-page SEO: title tags, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, keyword placement, image optimization. Manage and improve local SEO: Google Business Profiles, citations, maps optimization, and local signals. Conduct competitor analysis and keyword research to identify growth opportunities. Collaborate with content teams to guide SEO-driven blog topics, landing pages, and site architecture. Implement and manage tracking tools (Google Search Console, Google Analytics, call tracking tools). Build and manage backlinks through ethical, high-quality strategies. Monitor and report on rankings, traffic, conversions, and site issues. Work with development/design when needed, but be able to execute changes directly in WordPress or similar platforms. Requirements 3+ years of professional SEO experience. Proven ability to rank websites locally and organically. Strong knowledge of technical SEO (core web vitals, schema, sitemaps, redirects, etc.). Solid understanding of WordPress and ability to make site changes directly. Experience with tools like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, SurferSEO, and Google’s tool stack. Familiarity with call tracking, UTM tagging, and funnel tracking. Excellent communication skills — able to report progress and insights clearly. Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and focused on results. Bonus Points Experience with home service/construction/contractor websites. Basic HTML/CSS or web design experience. Ability to optimize pages for paid traffic and conversion as well. Understanding of CRM integration and analytics dashboards. Benefits Competitive salary based on experience.
