Sr. Medical Physicist (Commissioning)

Responsibilities Independent data collection, beam‑model configuration, validation, and report writing for linear accelerator and treatment planning system commissioning. Project planning, preparation and follow‑up for assigned commissioning jobs, including communication with customers and field‑service teams. Customization of report and analysis templates; remote access to customers’ treatment planning system for preliminary configuration when available. Compilation and submission of commissioning reports and guidance to customers on report content. Application of clinical expertise to process and software‑tool improvement and to research‑development projects directed by senior management. Creation and critical review of procedure manuals, and adherence to manualized processes. Continuous professional development to stay current with latest research and practice guidelines in commissioning. Assistance to other teams on tasks such as annual QA and technology‑adoption consulting as schedule permits. Supervision of Medical Physics residents when tasked to shadow a commissioning job. Travel to customer sites for approximately 65% of duties. Qualifications MS or PhD in Medical Physics, or closely related field. 10 years of clinical medical physics experience. ABR or ABMP board certification in therapeutic medical physics. $1500 travel bonus eligibility. Compensation Base pay range: $176,900–$243,232. Factors influencing starting pay include geography, skills, education, experience and other qualifications.
