Assistant Controller, Real Estate

My client, a top Real Estate Asset Manager is looking for an Assistant Controller to join the team due to growth. Our client works on a hybrid basis in downtown Chicago, offers competitive compensation, comprehensive health, PTO and retirement benefits. Key Responsibilities Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual accounting closes Prepare and post journal entries Review and record admittance of new investors Coordinate quarterly/annual reporting and tax requirements Execute cash transactions (subscriptions, distributions, invoices, fees) Review property management financial statements Conduct quarterly financial analysis and calculate performance returns Coach and manage junior team members Respond to client inquiries and support client service Improve reporting processes and lead special projects Requirements 6+ years of accounting experience, with strong real estate background Bachelor's Degree in Accounting CPA strongly preferred (or willingness to pursue) Self-starter with strong communication and problem-solving skills Highly organized, detail-oriented, and a strong team player #J-18808-Ljbffr Oliver James Associates Ltd.
