Director of Human Resources
As a critical member of the City's Leadership Team, the Director of Human Resources is responsible for providing leadership and establishing strategic and operational direction in all aspects of human resources for the City. The position is designed to support the City's strategic initiatives and align with the City's organizational culture work that is currently underway. This includes the work that has been done with the 2018 Employee Engagement Survey, the 2019 Resident Survey, and the City Manager's vision of where the organization is capable of going in the future. The Director of Human Resources reports directly to the City Manager.

Regular full-time employees work in a position that is classified as 40 hours per week. They are eligible for a full benefit package including medical, dental, life and LTD insurance; pension and general leave and optional benefits.
Regular part-time employees work in a position that is classified as 30+ hours per week. The City pays a contribution toward employee only medical and dental insurance. Employees can pay the difference to cover spouse and/or children. Life & LTD insurance coverage is provided. Employees participate in the City's pension plan and the City contributes to the plan. Employees accrue general leave on a pro-rated basis and optional benefits.
Regular part-time employees work in a position that is classified as 20+ hours per week but less than 30 hours. The City pays a contribution toward employee only medical insurance. Employees accrue general leave on a pro-rated basis and the City pays 3.75% toward deferred compensation and optional benefits.

Part-time employees work in a position that is classified as a "no benefit" position (i.e., Fitness Instructor, Scorekeeper, Substitute Lifeguard). Employees are not eligible for benefits and pay 7.5% toward deferred compensation.
Seasonal/temporary employees work in a position that is classified as a short-term position, are not eligible for benefits and pay 7.5% toward deferred compensation.
