Job Description & Duties This position is located at the Sacramento Headquarters Office at the May Lee State Office Complex. Under the general supervision of the Chief Deputy Director, the Business Taxes Specialist III serves as the highest‑level technical resource on matters concerning Business Tax and Fee policy issues, including analysis of legislation, evaluation and development of tax policies and procedures for handling unprecedented tax issues, development of tax policy for specific industries, and policy/procedure development and oversight responsibilities for precedent‑setting tax issues. The role may involve politically sensitive or confidential matters. The specialist coordinates and oversees enterprise agency‑wide projects and strategic initiatives on behalf of the Chief Deputy Director, tracks assignments, follows up, and serves as liaison as directed.
