Job Purpose and Summary At CVS Health, we are focused on transforming health care for our customers and making our company a great place to work. We help people navigate the health care system and improve access, lower costs, and act as a trusted partner for every meaningful moment of health. Within our retail locations, the District Support Pharmacists (DSPs) cultivate a culture of excellence by acting as role models, demonstrating genuine care, and setting the bar for the pharmacy team. As a DSP, you play a critical role in delivering our purpose, modeling our values, and demonstrating authentic care for our patients. Responsibilities Live our purpose by helping to manage and improve patient health through safe and appropriate dispensing, counseling, and immunizing practices. Travel the district to fill pharmacist shifts as scheduled by the District Performance Coordinator, overseeing the pharmacy and acting as the Pharmacy Manager’s proxy during bench shifts without overlap. Support safe and accurate prescription fulfillment by following and directing the pharmacy team to adhere to workflow procedures and safety guardrails at every workstation. Assume the Pharmacy Manager’s day‑to‑day duties when serving as the only or primary pharmacist‑on‑duty. Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs while contributing to a safe, inclusive, and engaging team dynamic. Maintain relevant clinical and technical skills as the industry evolves, including company‑required trainings and continuing medical education, and actively seek opportunities to expand knowledge to better support patients. Support access to care and improve patient outcomes through pharmacist‑delivered clinical services such as testing and prescribing (e.g., COVID/Flu, Hormonal Contraception) where permissible, empowering the pharmacy team to provide holistic care at every step. Understand and comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS Health policies and procedures, controlled substance dispensing and record‑keeping, privacy and security, and maintain a safe and inclusive workplace. Required Qualifications Active Pharmacist License in the state where the store is located. Active National Provider Identifier (NPI). Not on the DEA Excluded Parties list.
