Litigation Paralegal-Reinsurance

Overview A leading law firm is seeking an experienced Litigation Paralegal to provide high-level substantive legal support to attorneys in a fast-paced litigation environment. This role involves handling complex legal work, managing case materials, and supporting all phases of litigation, including trial preparation. Working under attorney supervision, this position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to independently manage responsibilities while collaborating with legal teams. Responsibilities
- Conduct legal research, draft correspondence, and analyze pleadings
- Prepare and file legal documents, including pleadings and discovery materials
- Manage and organize case documents, including review for relevance, responsiveness, and privilege
- Support e-discovery processes and utilize litigation and case management systems
- Assist with all phases of trial preparation, including exhibit management, deposition summaries, and courtroom logistics
- Coordinate with attorneys, court personnel, and internal teams on case activities
- Attend client meetings, hearings, and legal proceedings as needed
- Provide legal project management support and oversee junior paralegals and support staff
- Draft and prepare legal communications and summarize key facts and legal concepts
- Maintain accurate time records and meet billing requirements
- Stay current on legal procedures, rules, and professional standards
- Bachelor's degree or paralegal certification required
- Significant experience in litigation support (13+ years for Paralegal Specialist; 18+ years for Senior level)
- Demonstrated trial experience required
- Strong knowledge of federal and state court rules and procedures
- Experience with e-discovery platforms and case management systems
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
- High level of professionalism, discretion, and attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal technology tools
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team
