Registered Nurse - Emergency Room

Job Description

Job Summary:
Provides specialized nursing care in the Emergency Room, ensuring prompt and effective treatment for patients with urgent health issues. Responsible for delivering high-quality clinical support and collaborating with the healthcare team to maintain patient safety and care standards.

Responsibilities:

• Administer acute patient care and implement treatment plans within the emergency setting.
• Monitor and record patient vital signs, symptoms, and responses to interventions.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Utilize Epic electronic health record system to document care and maintain accurate patient records.
• Adhere to facility protocols and safety standards, including certification and compliance requirements.
• Assist with patient education and discharge planning as needed.

Qualifications:

• Hold an active Oregon State RN license or have proof of license application and fingerprinting.
• Possess a minimum of 2 years of specialty experience in emergency nursing.
• Have current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC or ATCN certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency with Epic EMR and emergency care procedures.
• Be able to work a flexible evening shift (3x12 hours), with availability for holiday and weekend rotations.
• Show ability to float within the site and across the system as required.
