Salary: 90k

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with OSHA 1926 / 1910, DOT, FMCSA, and MUTCD standards

• Represent the company during inspections and audits

• Lead new hire orientations and maintain the safety training matrix

• Conduct weekly Toolbox Talks, on-site audits, and safety briefings

• Manage and grow the behavior-based safety program

• Investigate incidents and near-misses using root cause analysis

• Travel to remote job sites and perform monthly safety inspections

• Maintain programs for HAZCOM, emergency planning, and hygiene standards

• Monitor and support the Return to Work program

• Use telematics systems and safety apps to track behavior, inspections, and compliance (e.g., Samsara, iAuditor, etc.)

• Maintain accurate safety records and communication logs with agencies

Day to Day:

We’re looking to fill a Safety Specialist position to support our client's field operations in the Broward and West Palm Beach area across infrastructure and transportation projects. The role will focus on ensuring compliance with OSHA 1926, OSHA 1910, MUTCD, and DOT standards, while working closely with field crews, project managers, and subcontractors. This role is ideal for someone with strong field experience, a proactive mindset, and a passion for building a culture of safety through compliance, communication, and technology.

Skills and Requirements

• 3-5 years in construction safety / heavy highway civil

• Strong knowledge of OSHA, DOT, MUTCD (600 Index)

• Bilingual (English/Spanish) (STRONGLY PREFFERED)

• Ability to teach OSHA 10/30 courses

• Excellent communicator, trainer, and field partner

• Tech-savvy with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, and safety software

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
