Medical Assistant - III

Job Title

Qualifications: NOT A REMOTE POSITION. Candidate must exhibit accuracy with documentation, attention to detail, must be independent and be able to work on their own. Candidate must have worked with patients in prior positions ex; Dr Office, Hospital, Pharma experience not necessary.

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED, and must have completed a Medical Assistant program. Certified or Registered Medical Assistant preferred. Must have Red Cross or American Heart Association card as Healthcare Provider for CPR w/ AED. First Aid certification preferred. One-year or greater of patient care experience in primary healthcare field. Experience with EKG, glucometers, injections, PPD and phlebotomy preferred. Must possess basic working knowledge of a computer. Experience with electronic medical record systems preferred.

Responsibilities

Medical Surveillance Activities

• Schedule OHPs
• Review Questionnaires
• Vitals
• Electronic Surveillance Clearances
• Performance of Audiograms, vision screening, ECGs
• Equipment Calibration - daily checks
• Annual calibrations - contacting company and managing shipping process
• Documentation including scanning records and entry into EMR

Vaccinations

• IM and SC injections – flu vaccines and others
• Documentation including scanning records and entry into EMR

Administrative

• Supply orders, tracking expiration dates
• Refill/Replace emergency medical supplies on emergency vehicles and depts throughout site
• Print medical records when requested by employees (often related to retirements/site closure)
• Documentation and Scanning of medical tests, HIPAA releases, etc to EMR

Occupational Incident care/management

• Provide First Aid, coordinate care with other on-site and off site providers as needed, esp if I am out of office
• Coordinate fup visit with outside Healthcare providers
• Documentation including Broadspire reports, scanning records and entry into EMR
