Details Support ground transportation of infants and pediatric patients from surrounding hospitals, ERs, and L&D/NICU units to a higher level of care facility Work as part of a transport team alongside Respiratory Therapy and an Advanced Practice Provider Night shift schedule with 3x12-hour shifts (1900-0700) Every other weekend required No on-call responsibilities May float to cover bedside nursing duties in NICU, PICU, or Peds units Uses Epic EMR Requirements Active WA or compact RN license required in hand at submission Current BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications required Minimum 2 years of experience required Prior ground transportation experience required Charge nurse experience preferred Epic EMR experience required Experience with ventilator management, ETT/NT suctioning, and care of ventilated patients Experience with IV therapy, arterial line management, and central line blood draws Experience with pediatric dosage calculations and IV vasopressors Experience with dysrhythmia interpretation and management Additional Information Provide critical care transport nursing for neonatal and pediatric patients requiring higher level of care Collaborate closely with Respiratory Therapy and Advanced Practice Providers during transport Travelers may be expected to float between sister facilities near the contracted location Must commit to working 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RTO requests should be submitted upfront prior to offer for consideration Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel pay rate, though local candidates may be accepted at a lower bill rate Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months after separation before returning as a traveler and cannot reside within 50 miles of the facility Two supervisory references required, covering at least 1 year of experience within the last 3 years American Traveler Job ID P-734775.
