Position Summary Puma Staffing is looking for a Manual Machinist to operate various manual machining tools and equipment to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.

Position Summary Puma Staffing is looking for a Manual Machinist to operate various manual machining tools and equipment to manufacture and repair mechanical assemblies.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Observe all Safety procedures and use properprotective gear (especially eye and ear protection).
- Record all data necessary to produce expected serviceand/or design results, including sizing's and illustrations.
- Use measuring devices and techniques correctly toassure proper sizing's.
- Perform milling operations such as drilling, tapping,boring and conventional milling and lathe work, using various enginelathes (e.g., horizontal and vertical mills and horizontal boring mills).
- Perform various metalizing (metal spraying) and spraywelding techniques as needed.
- Understand materials and applications as required.
- Perform various welding operations, including setupand use of MIG, TIG, torch and stick welders.
- Set up and perform tool-post grinding operations(e.g., precision surface facing), broaching procedures, and Babbittbearing work.
- Use various hand-held and stationary power andnon-power tolls, including but not limited to band saws, belt sanders,hand grinders, files, etc.
- Lift, tighten, adjust and/or secure heavy objects inorder to perform work and/or to observe safety precautions.
- Assist other machinist in department with skilled ornon-skilled duties as directed by supervisor and shop manager.
- Assist other shop departments with skilled ornon-skilled duties as directed by supervisor and shop manager.
- Perform other skilled or non-skilled duties asdirected by supervisor.
- High Schooldiploma, plus trade school, vocational/technical school, military, oron-the-job training and/or certifications.
