Registered Nurse - Emergency Department

Location: Martinsville, VA

Assignment Duration: This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule: Night shift: 19:00 - 07:00

Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Emergency Department team. This position involves the provision of quality care to patients of all ages in an Acute-care setting, ensuring adherence to best practices and standards in emergency services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of patient care in the Emergency Department.
• Administer medications and treatment protocols as prescribed.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to deliver optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Support and educate patients and their families on health management and emergency procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Current RN license in Virginia.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an Emergency Room setting.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, CPI/Handle with Care, NIH, PALS or ENPC.
