How you'll contribute

The Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) provides direct patient care under the supervision of an occupational therapist, assisting with therapeutic interventions and documentation while supporting quality and compliance standards in rehabilitation services. A Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA) who excels in this role:

• Communicates patient progress or concerns to the supervising occupational therapist and interdisciplinary team.
• Instructs patients' families or nursing staff in follow-through programs and home exercises.
• Assists with patient scheduling and post treatment charges to patient records daily.
• Documents patient care accurately and in accordance with all regulatory, licensing, payer, and accrediting requirements.
• Maintains treatment equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Ensures compliance with the Company's Code of Business Conduct, Corporate Compliance Agreement, and applicable laws and professional standards.

What we're looking for

Applicants should be licensed and eligible to practice as a COTA in the state of Virginia.

Additional requirements include:

• CPR certification.
• Must demonstrate strong communication, time management, and clinical documentation skills.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records, preferred.

Sovah Health Acute Rehab is a 10-bed, intensive rehabilitation unit with short length of stay and high functional outcomes. Looking to expand number of beds in the next year to better serve the community.

Hourly Rate: $40 per hour.
