I am looking to hire a full-time Payroll and Benefit Accountant for a reputable educational institution here in Racine, WI (53403). This role will be permanent with benefits and is looking to interview/start immediately.
Pay: $75,000 - $80,000 (based on experience) & Great Benefits
Benefits: Health, Vision, Dental, 401k, Tuition, PTO, Holidays, etc.
Schedule: 1st shift, M-F
Remote: No, 100% onsite
Job Responsibilities:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for employees, administrators, teachers, support staff, coaches, and temporary employees
- Audit payroll
- Process new hires, terminations, salary adjustments, etc.
- Advisor of benefits (never have to choose them those are done for you)
- Prepare payroll journal entries and general ledger
- Reconcile payroll-related general ledger accounts
- Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial close
- Strong attention to team player
- Use ADP Workforce (not a requirement) just want to be adaptable
