Role Description The Associate role at Aldine Capital Partners is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Chicago, IL. Day‑to‑day responsibilities include conducting financial and business due diligence, building and maintaining detailed financial models, and analyzing prospective investment opportunities. The Associate will support transaction execution through preparation of investment memoranda, coordination of third‑party advisors, and participation in meetings with management teams and sponsors. The role also involves monitoring portfolio company performance, preparing internal reporting materials, and contributing to market and industry research to inform investment strategy. The Associate will work closely with senior team members, participating in investment committee discussions and helping to refine investment theses and structures. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong analytical and financial skills, including proficiency in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and interpreting financial statements. Candidates should possess skills in research and market analysis, including the ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative data into clear insights and recommendations. Candidates should possess effective communication skills, including clear written presentation ability, concise investment memo writing, and confident verbal communication with internal and external stakeholders. Candidates should possess organizational and project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple transactions, meet deadlines, and coordinate with advisors and portfolio company teams. Candidates should possess relationship‑building and teamwork skills, with the capacity to collaborate constructively with sponsors, management teams, and colleagues at all levels. Relevant experience in private equity, investment banking, corporate finance, or management consulting is highly beneficial. Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, business, or a related field is preferred; advanced degrees or professional certifications (e.g., MBA, CFA) are a plus.
