SunState Health Staffing is recruiting a Referral Coordinator for a well-established outpatient healthcare practice in Northern Florida.

This role supports the coordination of patient referrals to specialty providers, ensuring timely access to care and accurate documentation of medical necessity. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication with patients and providers.

Monday through Friday, 8:00 in the morning to 5:00 in the afternoon. No nights or weekends.

Key responsibilities include:

• Process and coordinate referrals to external specialists and facilities
• Prioritize urgent referral requests and manage timelines
• Review provider documentation to confirm medical necessity
• Prepare and submit service denials for non-compliant referrals as needed
• Compile and transmit medical records to specialty offices
• Serve as a point of contact for referral-related questions
• Maintain referral logs and provide monthly reports to management
• Escalate referral issues to leadership when appropriate

Qualifications include:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Medical office experience preferred
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and accountable
