Surgical Technologist – Surgical Services

Location

Madison, WI | Inpatient / Pediatric

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days, 4x10-hour shifts, Monday–Friday, 7:00–17:30 | Weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call responsibilities required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform scrub technologist duties across a range of pediatric surgical specialties including Eyes, Urology, Neuro, and Orthopedics
• Assist surgical teams in the operating room by preparing and passing instruments, supplies, and equipment during procedures
• Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control and safety protocols throughout all surgical cases
• Float to other areas within the surgical services department as needed
• Participate in weeknight, weekend, and holiday on-call rotation as scheduled

Required Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of pediatric scrub experience required
• Successfully completed a surgical technologist program; two years of experience in a Surgical Technologist role may be considered in lieu of program completion
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible — local candidates will not be accepted

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Strong proficiency in ophthalmic, urological, neurological, and orthopedic surgical procedures
• Experience working in a high-acuity pediatric or children's hospital setting
• Familiarity with Level I Pediatric Trauma Center environments
