Are you a compassionate and dedicated optometrist looking to make a difference in the lives of your patients? This practice is thrilled to announce an opening for an optometrist to join their enthusiastic team in Auburn and Opelika! Here, patient care is prioritized, and a supportive environment is fostered for the staff.
About the Position:
They are seeking a caring, hardworking associate eager to grow with the practice. The ideal candidate would work 4-4.5 days between their Opelika and newly opened Auburn office.
Compensation and Benefits:
This practice rewards its team for hard work. The pay structure begins at $500 per day, with an additional 20% bonus on any earnings over that amount from exams and optical purchases within two weeks of the visit.
The Practice:
The successful candidate will be part of a vibrant team that values both patients and staff. The practice currently sees between 20-34 patients each day, aiming to maintain a friendly and efficient environment. Their scheduling typically includes four exams and one or two follow-up appointments per hour.
Equipment and Support:
The support staff comprises two technicians, a receptionist, a contact lens specialist, an optician, and a back-office manager who is ready to assist with insurance and optical needs. The optometrist will have access to top-notch equipment, including Optos, Slit Lamps, Autorefactors, and Digital Phoropters, all to help provide exceptional care.
Working Hours:
The practice operates Monday to Thursday from 7:45 AM to 5:00 PM and Friday from 7:45 AM to 3:00 PM, with room for expanded hours if needed. They hope to find someone available on Wednesday mornings, Thursdays, and Fridays, but value flexibility and are happy to discuss arrangements that work best for the candidate.
Future Opportunities:
As the optometrist grows with the team, there may also be opportunities to partner with or own the practice, allowing them to invest in their future.

Requirements:
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) degree from an accredited optometry school
- Valid state optometry license or in the process of obtaining
