In this role, you will bring reliability, agility, innovation, teamwork, and integrity to each shift while responding to site needs with confidence and care. Position Type: Part Time Pay Rate: $23.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeSat06:00 AM - 06:00 PM Sun06:00 AM - 06:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and/or members of the public while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, including situations that may require an armed presence in accordance with post orders and applicable regulations. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions or concerns. Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify credentials as required, and document security-related incidents, observations, and/or daily activities in accordance with site procedures. Work closely with site leadership, public-facing personnel, and/or responding agencies during emergencies, alarms, medical events, and other security-related matters while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail. Minimum Requirements: Possess at least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience. Possess an armed guard card and/or license. Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
